Hello! My Name Is…
My name is Brittany Hood. I’m from Danville, Virginia. I graduated from Johnson C Smith University, majoring in Business Administration concentration in marketing and retail management in 2015. I currently live in Charlotte, NC.
I currently work at American Lending Solution Resolvion (ALSR) where I work in the transport/impound department. ALSR is a forwarding repossession company. My responsibility is to release the vehicle back to the customer, set up for transport to the auction or secure vehicles from impound lot that is up for repossession. There’s never a dull moment at my job.
I am the only child. I love cooking and trying new foods and restaurants, listening to music, traveling, and hanging out with family and friends. I was a part of the marching band in middle school, high school, and college where I played the tuba, flute, and the piccolo.
What is your motivation for obtaining your degree here at Averett University?
My motivation for obtaining my degree here at Averett University is to continue to grow with my current employment. This university will provide the diversity and the knowledge that will make me more marketable in the field of Business. My degree will be a step forward toward my career ambitions.

I chose Averett’s Graduate & Professional Studies Program because this program works perfectly with my work schedule and the program is affordable.
How has your degree from Averett University assisted you in your career?
My degree from Averett University has inspired me to volunteer at my current job in the Human Resources department to broaden my horizons.
Time management is key to being successful in the program. It’s not easy working a full- time job and attending school, but it is worth it.

What keeps you motivated while in your degree program?
My family, friends, and previous professor from my undergraduate program keep me motivated to continue my education in Business.
