Ms. Williamson-Branch is a local resident of Danville, VA, and is currently serving a four term as the City of Danville VA, City Treasurer. She also serves on the Danville Utility Commission. Ms. Sheila Williamson-Branch is a life-long learner. She graduated in 1984 from Hampton Institute (University) with a BS in Finance, from Averett University in 1991 attaining an MBA, and from Strayer University in 2009 attaining a Master of Science in Accounting. In 2012, Ms. Williamson-Branch received a Certificate of Advance Graduate Studies from Capella University after completing her final coursework towards a PhD in General Business from Capella University.
After a two-year postponement, Ms. Williamson-Branch is currently pursuing Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership at Walden University. Ms. Williamson-Branch has over 25+ years in the banking industry between two financial institutions located in Virginia(First State Bank, Danville, VA), and North Carolina (Square 1 Bank, Durham, NC), and has been teaching in the area of accounting and business for well over 20+years as an instructor of business at American National University (formerly National Business College), Danville, VA, and with Averett University as an Adjunct Business Professor for the Graduate Professional Studies Program.
She is also a Notary Public. She is very active in the Danville community, serving as treasurer and/or a board member on several local organizations. She is currently President of the Danville Chapter National Epicureans, Inc. as well as the Past National Treasurer for the National Epicureans, Inc. She’s also a member/ Treasurer of The American Business Women’s Association Dan Valley Chapter and lastly, a member of the Danville (VA) Chapter of The Links, Inc., She attends Bible Way Cathedral and has two children.
