Elevate your marketing skills to keep pace with today’s global business challenges with an MBA in Marketing. Earn a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing (MBA-MKT). The MBA in Marketing degree, offered on campus or online, will prepare you to take the next step in your marketing management career.

Goals and Course Topics

If your job involves identifying new product opportunities, analyzing consumer behavior and/or communicating your company’s products and services, the Marketing MBA program will take your expertise to the next level. Marketing MBA graduates have the skills to develop evidence-based marketing strategies for global audiences.

Marketing MBA Concentrations

The on campus MBA Marketing program covers the same advanced business administration topics presented in the main-track MBA, plus specialized marketing courses in:

  • Market research project design and analysis
  • Brand management
  • Marketing to global audiences
  • Consumer behavior and marketing influence

The program ends with a capstone research project to allow you to demonstrate your mastery of key concepts and focus on a particular marketing area or problem of interest. Learning experiences throughout the program emphasize quantitative analysis and practical application of theoretical concepts.

MBA in Marketing Format

The MBA in Marketing program is formatted for in-depth study and accelerated completion. Whether you study on campus or take online marketing courses, you’ll take your specialized marketing courses online. Small classes allow productive discussions and personal attention from your instructor.

Who This Marketing MBA Program Is For

The MBA in Marketing program is for working professionals from any background who hold a bachelor’s degree. However, we do not require a minimum amount of full-time work experience to be accepted into the program. We prefer applicants with official transcripts showing a 3.0 or higher GPA in the last 60 credits of bachelor degree study.

The GPS Catalog outlines admissions requirements, transfer credit guidelines and graduate requirements. An Admissions Counselor will help you order your official transcripts and Averett will pay the associated costs. We will evaluate your transcripts to determine the degree program for which you qualify.

"Make the call! That was the hardest part because I didn't know what I was getting into. Once I called it seemed so easy. The roadmap was laid out and I knew exactly what I needed to do to get where I wanted to go."
