Welcome to the Averett family! I began here at Averett first as a student, an alumni, an Administrative Assistant, a Student Success Coach, and now the GPS Coordinator of Tutoring Operations.
I completed both my undergraduate (1998), and Master’s Degree (2015) at Averett. The interesting fact about this is that my undergraduate degree was from Averett College and my Masters was Averett University.
I have worn many “hats” over the years in that I am a wife, mother, military veteran spouse, educator, and have been a general manager, administrative assistant, friend, Department Chair, counselor, team member, youth minister, hospital chaplain, coach, business owner, and Special Education Teacher. These “hats” have provided me with many leadership positions both as a team leader and a team player. It has provided me with an extensive array of experience to listen, lead, observe, and assist others in following the path towards success they have planned out for themselves.
When I am not at work, I enjoy time with my family and friends; spending time together playing games or watching any of the many N.C.I.S. television shows.
