What is your motivation for obtaining your degree?
My motivation for obtaining my degree is to gain a competitive edge, demonstrate success to my employers and my family, make more money, and have a better opportunity for career advancement.
Why did you choose Averett’s Graduate & Professional Studies Program?
After talking to an AU GPS admissions counselor, I felt this program was for me. AU online courses provide convenience, flexibility, and give me the opportunity to plan my study time/homework time around the rest of the day instead of the other way around. Course material is always accessible online, and the program helps me balance work and family commitments.
Please share one tip for your fellow classmates and future AU students:
Don’t give up on things that are difficult and worth the extra effort to achieve them. Don’t give up right away; sometimes it takes extra work but in the long run it will be worth it.
What helps to keep you motivated while you are in the program?
Knowing that my career goals will allow a better life for my family, setting a positive example for my daughters, and showing them that it’s never too late to obtain your degree. And, most of all…personal satisfaction.
