Questions? 800-AVERETT

Averett University prepares students to serve and lead as catalysts for positive change. We fulfill this mission by educating students from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and nations through liberal arts-based undergraduate and graduate programs in a personal, collegial, interdisciplinary environment.

Averett is committed to a model of scholarship that puts an emphasis on community engagement and mutually beneficial relationships. We believe it is critical to educate future leaders in our communities in the areas of business, criminal justice, education, and health sciences. Averett also believes it is our responsibility to do what we can in response to increasing higher education student loan debt. According to the Washington Post, the average student in Virginia graduates with $25,017 in student loan debt. It is no wonder that since the state reduced higher education funding by 53.6% from 1980 to 2011, according to the American Council on Education, 97% of Virginia’s class of 2012 graduated with debt. It is toward these ends that we are looking to partner with other organizations that are like minded. We do this through specifically designed programs to assist organizations in our local communities with affordable, quality higher education.

Our partners recognize the value and impact that an Averett education can have for their employees and stakeholders professional and personal growth. Therefore, through the combined efforts of our corporate partners and Averett University, our partner program allows organizations to refer qualified candidates for undergraduate and graduate degrees at a significantly lower tuition.
