My name is Lawrence Chambers. I’m a 2003 graduate of the MBA program here at Averett University. I’m currently a supervisory procurement analyst with the federal government in Washington DC. Personally, I wanted to be the first one in my family to obtain a graduate degree and professionally, I wanted to make myself more marketable. I felt that having a degree would show that I was personally invested in my growth and I knew that that would be big for companies to notice.

Averett has helped me in my career by just learning how to work in a small group environment. Throughout my years since I graduated in 2003 from the MBA program, I think I’ve had at least five or six promotions within my current career field so I’m using all the intangible assets that I’ve learned at Averett for my career progression.
