“The teachers who mentored me when I started working in the public school system were Averett graduates back before there was an online program. They are so respected and the the school is so well respected in this region that it was my first choice absolutely. I knew that it wouldn’t be easy coming back to school and working full time raising a family. So I like the flexibility of the GPS program. I like the fact that I can take classes at night and on the weekends; that I could double up over the summer since I’m a teacher — and I like the fact that I could do the classes online. Because sometimes with family it’s hard to know for sure that you’re gonna be able to be free to get away for class every week.”
