Business Administration Minor
Obtaining a minor expands your knowledge while opening up additional job opportunities and your future potential. A Business Administration Minor completed in addition to your major and general education coursework, illustrates your dedication and drive to learn, work hard and excel.
Goals and Course Topics
Students pursuing a minor in Business Administration have the opportunity to learn about topics including accounting, management, economics, marketing and finance. As a major in Criminal Justice, these courses diversify your skillset with business administration abilities that enhance your value in the job market and your contributions on the job.
Business Administration Minor Format
The Business Administration Minor is presented online for students whose busy lifestyles or location make it difficult to attend structured classes. Small classes facilitate productive discussions and personal attention from your instructor. The time for completion depends on the number of courses you take per semester. If you take six courses for 18 credit hours at once, you can complete the Business Administration Minor in one semester. You may take one to five courses during each 15-week semester.
Who This Business Administration Minor Program is For
The Business Administration Minor program is for adults who have completed BSA 221 (three hours) plus 15 hours in BSA courses numbered 300 or higher. You may substitute up to two ECO courses numbered 200 or higher for six hours of BSA courses numbered 300 or higher.
We prefer applicants with official transcripts showing a 2.0 or higher GPA in Business Administration. Full-time work experience is not required.
You must apply far enough in advance to submit transcripts and follow acceptance procedures. If you are a GPS student currently, check with Financial Aid to see if minor courses are covered.
