You're just three easy steps away from becoming a part of the Averett Family! Get started with Step 1 - and feel free to contact any of our Admissions Counselors (listed below) with any questions.

Step 1: Get Started!

Please complete steps A, B, and C at your earliest convenience.

  1. Complete the application for all programs (except for M.Ed.)
    1. APPLY NOW
    2. M.Ed. Students – Click here for the M.Ed. application
  2. Please request Official Transcripts from all institutions previously attended and have them sent to:

    Danville, Virginia 24541
  3. Email a copy of your driver’s license or government issued ID to:

  1. D.  As you move forward in the application process, please complete: Student Roadmap to Success

Step 2: Payment Options

  1. Pay your Enrollment Deposit, once you are officially accepted to AU
    1. Pay Now
  2. Complete the Financial Agreement Form to let us know how you plan to pay. Form must be submitted prior to class start. 

Military or Corporate Tuition Assistance – If you are a member of the United States Military (active-duty, veteran, reserve, DOD, etc.), complete the application and statement. View Military Scholarship Application and Statement

Step 3: Financial Aid

  1. Obtain your ID number and complete the FAFSA online
    1. Federal Student Aid ID Number
    2. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
    3. Averett’s Federal School Code is 003702
  2. Complete loan entrance counseling and the mastery promissory note
    Loan Entrance Counseling is only required for first time Federal Direct Loan borrowers; all borrowers must complete a Master Promissory Note. Both can be completed at the links below (you will need your FSA ID from the step above).

  3. Prepare for your session with Pam Harris, Assistant Director Financial Aid, Graduate & Professional Studies

      1. Financial Aid Information Form
      2. Title IV Authorization Form
      3. FERPA Form
  4. Reserve your seat in an online information meeting with Pam Harris to review Financial Aid and required paperwork
