Application Procedures

This application is for the Graduate & Professional Studies (GPS) division for working adults.

  1. NO application fee required.
  2. Provide complete and accurate information (i.e. full name, full name of high school, no abbreviations for anything).
  3. Please provide the full names of ALL previously attended institutions including high school.
  4. Please have all transcripts sent to Averett University, Attn: GPS Admissions.
  5. Transfer applicants are required to submit official transcripts from all college work whether or not transfer credit is desirable or applicable.
  6. Permanent U.S. Residents must submit a copy of their Permanent Resident Card.
  7. All International students must provide a copy of your current VISA as well as TOEFL scores.
  8. Once all transcripts have been received, a decision on admittance will be made and student placed into the degree program for which they are qualified.

Optional Demographic Information Federal and state agencies request that we supply demographic data on applications for admission to Averett University. To enable us to comply with these requests, we ask that you complete this optional section. If you choose not to answer any part of this section, it will in no way affect your admission to Averett.

The VA Certifying Official for Averett University will determine the Chapter for those eligible for military benefits.
Citizenship Information (Outside of the USA) Permanent U.S. Residents must submit a copy of their Permanent Resident Card.
If English is not your first language, you must submit official TOEFL scores.

If applying for our RN to BSN program, please provide the state you are currently licensed in. Please note that you must maintain an active RN license in an approved state in order to satisfactorily meet practicum requirements and graduate with your BSN degree.

Employment For verification of employment, please complete the following for each place of employment (must demonstrate 2 years full-time employment for BBA degree seeking applicants, 3 years full-time employment for MBA degree seeking applicants, and the MEd in Administration and Supervision program requires 3 years full-time work experience as a primary or secondary classroom teacher, MEd in Curriculum & Instruction requires 1 year full-time work experience as a primary or secondary classroom teacher).
