What is your motivation for obtaining your degree?

The motivation for obtaining my degree is to have the satisfaction of completing a task that has been in front of me for some time. The understanding that this achievement is a building block that provides a solid foundation for me to continue to contribute to the workforce in a more substantial role. Not only will the degree will allow me to advance within my career, it will also provide the basis for the next level of education.

Why did you choose Averett’s Graduate & Professional Studies Program?

I chose Averett University after speaking to an Admissions Counselor and reviewing the materials given to me. Averett offers the flexibility that allows students to work toward educational goals while maintaining our regular responsibilities.

Please share one tip for your fellow classmates and future AU students:

The most important tip that I can give to classmates and future students is to never give up on self-improvement. Many of us can be intimidated by attending school while maintaining jobs and personal life. There will most likely never be a “perfect time” to go back to school. Choose to invest in yourself.

What helps to keep you motivated while you are in the program?

Continuously monitoring my progress keeps me motivated to remain in the program. This gives me the ability to see that I am getting closer to reaching my goal. I challenge myself daily to demonstrate the commitment I declare to possess for improving my life. Yes, I want to talk the talk and walk the walk.

What is your anticipated Date of Graduation?

Averett University, Class of 2019
