What is your motivation for obtaining your degree?
My daughter Natalia was my motivation to get back into school. I have to make her proud and make something of myself, and I want to leave my mark on the world by helping people one day at a time.
Why did you choose Averett’s Graduate & Professional Studies Program?
An Averett Graduate actually informed me about this program and he led me to the site I applied that night and within a week’s time they were in contact with me. I actually owe some serious credit to Davione Green.
Please share one tip for your fellow classmates and future AU students:
Focus, focus, FOCUS!!!!! It is not hard, once you set your mind to it and set daily, weekly, monthly goals, anything can be accomplished.
What helps to keep you motivated while you are in the program?
My daughter Natalia and my mother Stacey keep me motivated. Not only am I doing this because counseling is what aspire to do, but to hear them say how proud they are of me is well worth it in the end.
