Welcome to Averett University!
I am not only an Admissions Counselor at Averett, but also an alumnus! I pursued two undergraduate degrees at Averett, one in Business Management and one in Theatre! While studying and acting, I also worked part-time on main campus as a set builder in the theatre department, as an assistant in Mary Blount Library, and as a speech consultant and academic tutor for the Success Center. I loved being so involved in all aspects of student life so that I saw firsthand how beneficial the education and experience of obtaining a college degree can be!
Since my undergrad, I’ve worked in sales, marketing and management positions, but now I’m back at Averett as an Admissions Counselor helping people see all that their future can hold with a degree from this university! It certainly has changed my life for the better. I am earning my MBA through the GPS program now, and I am thrilled to be part of the team that continues to emphasize quality education and lifelong connections.
While I’m not counseling, I am playing with my boxer puppy, working on home DIY projects, and spending time with friends. My long term goal is to open my own small business in Danville!
I love Averett because it brought people and professors into my life that taught me lifelong lessons. Because of Averett, I found a town I love to live in, have two great degrees, and an amazing team of coworkers with a shared mission of getting people to love Averett as much as we do! It was definitely the best decision I’ve ever made!
