Averett University partnered with Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) to develop the advanced online Master of Science in Applied Healthcare Data Analytics program (MSAHDA). The program launched in January 2020 and was created as an extension of Averett Online’s Master of Science in Applied Data Analytics program, which started in 2018. This additional program has a specific focus on the complex data needs of healthcare organizations.
VCOM has 4 different colleges located throughout the South. The mission of VCOM is “to prepare globally-minded, community-focused physicians to meet the needs of rural and medically underserved populations and promote research to improve human health”. With VCOM’s expertise in creating specialized programs, this collaboration has helped us to create an exclusive program that provides marketable graduates within the healthcare industry and is a great addition to the already solid foundation of our existing applied data analytics program.

For example, in the healthcare field, leaders rely on analytics to advise on strategies such as managing cost, driving quality, improving access to care, and improving patient experiences.
