Averett University Graduate and Professional Studies offers Master of Business Administration degree program (MBA) designed to address the global business environment, along with executive-level knowledge of primary business functions like human resources, marketing, finance and accounting. Our 41-credit MBA is presented in an online or on-campus format that is designed to accommodate career and family responsibilities.

Averett’s MBA program aims to produce graduates prepared to manage and lead in businesses and organizations of all sizes. Our MBA alumni will have managerial-level reasoning and quantitative analysis skills, a capacity for practical application of theories, and strong ethical values.

Whichever learning option you choose, the course is formatted for accelerated completion. You will take one class at a time, in seven-week blocks, letting you study concepts intensively. Class sizes are kept small to ensure you have the opportunity to hold productive discussions and receive personal attention from your instructor.
Who This Program Is For
Averett’s MBA programs are designed for working professionals who hold a bachelor’s degree. We prefer applicants who have:
- Earned at least a 3.0 GPA in their last 60 credits’ worth of bachelor degree study (demonstrated with official transcripts)
- A minimum of three years’ full-time work experience
Full admissions requirements, transfer credit guidelines, and graduate requirements are available in our GPS Catalog. Your enrollment representative will work with you to obtain your official transcripts, and Averett will pay for the costs associated with ordering them. Once your transcripts are received and processed, we will provide an official evaluation for the degree program in which you qualify.
